Description of HAZUS-MH Seminars/Presentations

Introduction to HAZUS-MH:

Seminars/Presentations typically range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Seminars and presentations begin with an overview of the HAZUS-MH hazard models: flood, hurricane and earthquake and the technical requirements to run the program. There is discussion regarding the purpose and applications of the program. Then, the audience is informed of the inventory bundled with the program and how to create a flood or hurricane hazard scenario in order to overlay with the inventory to estimate damages and losses.

Note: Some seminars include a presentation on THMP, as well.
